Empatia lights were born through the amalgamation of Artemide's technological know-how and the tradition of glass-blowing. The use of glass as a mean of expression, a form of art into every day items, accumulated high interest. As a result, a co-operation between master glass blowers was created, who wished to completely tame the plasticity of Venetian glass. Thus, they would learn how to find the perfect balance between density, transparency and light. Once the perfect balance is found, a light is emmited with no glare and no loss of efficiency.
