Manufactured in Smaland, Sweden, Abstracta produces furniture and lighting specifically for large commercial spaces. They pride themselves on the ability to combat disruptive environments. All of their products are designed to create better soundscapes, and after working in the industry since 1972 Abstracta can be described as an acoustic pioneer. Each creation minimises noise and utilises all three methods of reducing reverberation; absorption, diffusion and attenuation - leading to them winning a wide variety of design awards. Their designs are particularly effective in the hospitality sector and in communal workspaces.

Abstracta understands that good design is sustainable, and that's why each piece of furniture and lighting that Abstracta produces has sustainability at its heart. The brand focuses on five sustainability goals, and the process has become a natural part of their business. This includes utilising recycled materials, running their factory on 100% renewable energy, prioritising local suppliers to decrease their emissions and even offering their clients a recycling service for their older pieces.
