Ecommerce Content Editor

We’re seeking a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to join our team as an Ecommerce Content Editor at our office in Broomhill, Sheffield.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as we also look for transferable skills.

As part of a varied role, your responsibilities will include:

  • adding new products and editing existing product information, prices, codes and images on our website
  • data input: methodically and accurately updating prices and product information on each product page when a brand releases a new pricelist
  • basic editing of product images using Adobe Photoshop, such as cropping, resizing, removing background (please note: photography skills are not required for this role as we use images supplied from the brands)
  • contacting our brand partners for product information and imagery of their new and existing products
  • writing inspiring, informative, and accurate product descriptions for products on our website
  • basic on-page search engine optimisation (SEO) through standard practice
  • updating stock levels on the website
  • share/report important information to management and the team
  • participating in product and brand training
  • administration
  • helping in other areas as required and covering for team members when absent


Who we're looking for:

Essential skills -

  • high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • high level of computer literacy, competent with using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • excellent written English and editing skills
  • ability to write original, interesting and accurate copy
  • a fast and willing learner
  • commercial awareness
  • organised and self-motivated
  • able to manage multiple tasks
  • friendly and confident with the ability to work well with others from a range of different backgrounds, as part of an effective and close-knit team
  • a team player


Desirable (but not essential) skills -

  • experience with using image editing software to a basic level (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)
  • experience in a similar role
  • experience in data entry
  • knowledge or experience of basic on-page SEO
