from David Village Lighting
Founded in 2008, Wastberg has remained dedicated to creating economically viable and environmentally conscious lighting. Founder Magnus Wastberg was born into the lighting industry, through his extensive experience he gained an understanding of aesthetic sensibility fused with Swedish engineering. In the early noughties he discovered a systemic failure in most offices and public areas - almost all of their lighting setups were "harsh, unwelcoming or just uncomfortable" and from here bloomed the 'Lamps for Neanderthal Men' manifesto. Magnus' vision was developing softened general lighting to create atmospheric environments to ensure you are feeling your best and abolish the cold environments cast by glaring overhead lights.
Wastberg have made it their mission to ensure that their business is not entirely focused on the measurable qualities of lighting. They understand that immeasurable factors, such as human nature, needs and emotions, are just as crucial. That is why, with Wastberg their lighting is designed to answer your fundamental needs.
