Fontana LED Floor Lamp by Santa & Cole

The Fontana floor lamp is based on the Fontana pendant design which was created by André Ricard in 1970. The design was named after Lucio Fontana, a renowned artist who is known for founding the art movement known as Spatialism. Fontana sought to push art forward after the Second World War, moving towards and advocating the Space Age era. He did this by creating slashes on monochromatic canvases, creating depth and a three-dimensional look in a previously two-dimensional art form.

The slash is reinterpreted in the lampshade of the Fontana floor light, emitting light outwards for an ambient and soft glow. Light is also emitted out of the bottom of the shade and is diffused for an even spread throughout the room. The shade is held by a simple metal white structure, representing the look and feel of 1970s design. The floor light is a timeless piece that will look beautiful in any space and with a handy dimmer switch on the top of the shade, you can create the right atmosphere in your interior.
