Design For The People Hill Pendant

Hill is a large pendant light, designed by Asger Risborg, that is both light as a cloud but incredibly durable. It consists of a geometric lampshade made from Tyvek that fills the room, without taking up too much space or blocking the view. The design of the lamp creates an illumination that fills the room with soft light, offering tranquillity. Although offering the illusion of fabric, the Hill Pendant is actually closer to a paper lantern.

With a background in both architecture and medicine, Danish designer Asger Risborg finds inspiration in the simultaneous complexity and simplicity of nature. Risborg wanted to create a lamp that combines the delicate qualities of rice paper lanterns with the durability to endure everyday use over many years.
