Vitra Akari 15A Pendant

Handcrafted from washi paper by traditional Japanese artisans, the vitra Akari 15A Pendant transforms the harshness of the light source and produces a warm and cosy ambient glow that can be utilised in numerous residential or commercial spaces. The Akari 15A Pendant was designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1951, who commented on the design 'The harshness of electricity is thus transformed through the magic of paper back to the light of our origin – the sun.'
