Product Description

Aledin Dec by Kartell


Part of the Aledin collection, designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda, the Dec with its distinct diffuser becomes a colourful presence in the room. The Dec light has a cone shaped diffuser, emitting a wide array of light and a bit more atmospheric than its sibling the Aledin Tec.

The polycarbonate aluminium rods contained within the arms provide the power to the LED light source, instead of the conventional wire running through the arm, either externally or internally. The highest dimming setting is class 3, where the Dec light will be emitting about 600 lumens.

You can select your Aledin Dec desk lamp and choose from 5 colour options, Amber, Blue, Crystal, Fume or Green.

About the designer

Alberto Meda & Francesco Meda

Alberto Meda was born in 1945 in Como and studied Mechanical Engineering at Milan Polytechnic where he graduated in 1969. In 1973 he became the technical manager of Kartell where he experimented with plastic-based materials and production processes, his time here came to an end in 1979 when he went on to work as a freelance designer, consulting for Gaggia and Alfa Romeo.
