The &Tradition Flowerpot collection was first conceived in 1968 by the radical and innovative designer Verner Panton - his work often experimented with circular forms and this collection of unique lights was no different. Always pushing the envelope with his designs, Panton embodies the free and loving thinking of the late 60s Flower Power movement with a lampshade that consists of two semicircles facing one another. His inspiration behind the Flowerpot was to create a light that made users' surroundings more exciting - and so the &Tradition Flowerpot range began.
Originally designed in vibrant colours, &tradition carries on Panton’s aesthetic with a wide range of finishes and the famous Flowerpot shade applied to pendants, table lamps, wall lights and floor lamps. This allows the &Tradition Flowerpot lights to be used in almost any modern interior, either individually or paired with others in the collection. With the light source concealed within the two hemispherical sectors of the Flowerpot shade, these lamps emit an indirect diffused illumination onto the surface below, which generates a cosy atmosphere. Perfect for unwinding after a long day, a beautiful way to brighten up living rooms, kitchens, dining areas and even reading nooks.
