Northern Birdy Short Wall Light

The Birdy Short Wall Light was designed in 1952 by renowned Nordic designer Bigger Dahl. Dahl used geometric shapes and an uncluttered profile to create a collection that blends in with contemporary interiors to this day. The modernistic collection was originally produced by Norwegian electricity company Sønnico before being reintroduced by Northern in 2013. As well as the short wall light, the Birdy Collection includes a floor lamp, table lamp and swing wall light.

The shade of the wall light sits on a rotating axis, allowing you to direct the lighting to where required. The conical shade creates directional light which is perfect for installing above a desk or coffee table for task lighting to read and work by. True to Scandinavian style, this wall light features a cable and plug which requires a nearby power socket. Alternatively, the light can be hard-wired into the wall by a qualified electrician if preferred.
