Northern Birdy

Renowned Nordic designer Birger Dahl designed the Birdy Collection in 1952, which was produced by the Norwegian electricity company Sønnico. After being discontinued, Northern Lighting decided to re-launch the collection in 2013, allowing it to be available once more to fans and collectors of classic Nordic design. The geometric shapes and metallic finishes of each piece have allowed the collection to maintain a modernistic appearance, blending in with contemporary interiors to this day.

The Birdy Collection includes a floor lamp, table lamp, swing wall light, and short wall light. Their sleek, uncluttered profiles are ideal for both domestic and commercial spaces. The Birdy Table Lamp is now available in a Masala finish, which was released to commemorate the centenary of Birger Dahl’s birth. In 1954 the table lamp, then known as “s-30016” was awarded the highly esteemed Golden Medal at the Milan Triennale.
