Mater Ocean Bench

Offering a larger and more communal seating option, the Mater Ocean Bench can be combined with a range of the other items in the collection - similarly, it can also be utilised as a stand-alone option for your indoor or outdoor space. The Ocean Bench is an updated model of the original 1955 design, using recycled ocean waste plastic and preventing further pollution of the world’s oceans. Each bench contains 3.2kg of recycled plastic. Mater worked alongside renowned designer Nanna Ditzel, ensuring a final product that was a positive representation of the original design.

The Ocean Bench features a moulded seat which curves to the natural contours of the human body, guaranteeing maximum comfort and user satisfaction. This seat is available in four colour options, with the Black, Sand and Burnt Red finishes being crafted from recycled fishing nets and hard plastic, whilst the Green OC2 finish is made from recycled beer kegs from Carlsberg. The Mater Ocean Bench can also be fully disassembled, allowing it to be recycled at the end of its lifespan.
