Piero Lissoni's work on the Piuma chair got him, and rightfully so, the Red Dot Award/ Best of the Best award in 2017. The Piuma is a revolutionary Kartell product, utilising their moulding techniques and the use of a new material the Piuma became an ultra light and extremely durable designer furniture. At just 2mm thickness and barely weighing 2.2 kg, the Piuma is not just light and slender but extremely flexible, durable and weatherproof. This was the first product to be made by injection moulding a material containing carbon fibre, especially for a stylish and elegant product!
