Spun Floor Lamp by Flos

Named ‘Spun’ after the technique made to use this distinctive floor lamp, the 2003 design for Flos by Sebastian Wong won the prestigious Red Dot design award just a year after its design in 2004. Described as having a 1960s edge, the Spun floor lamp is an elegant and timeless design, indicative of Wong’s usual design aesthetic striking a balance between functionality, aesthetics and refinement.

The Spun floor light is available in three colour finishes; white, black and mud, and the spun aluminium shade is topped with a sandblasted glass diffuser which works to produce a soft, glare free and diffused light. The floor light also features a dimmer included on the cable, allowing the user to change the light output and ambience of a room with ease.

The beautifully simple Spun collection also includes a table lamp in two sizes (T1 and T2) to create a cohesive lighting design and was the initial inspiration for Flos’ Architerctural range of Soft Spun lights.
