The Bellevue Collection was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1929. He designed this collection at the time of the Great Depression, when people were looking for a new way of living. Arne Jacobsen designed the Bellevue Collection for his ‘House of the Future’ exhibition. His take on modernist design, with straight lines and sharp angles, is considered the driving force in Danish Modernism. &Tradition have re-launched this classic collection, making it available once more to fans and collectors of classic Danish design.
The Bellevue Collection includes a floor lamp, table lamp, and wall light. Each piece features an instantly recognisable shape, with the sharp lines from the cut-off shade creating a contrast with the curved, adjustable stem. This stem offers versatility in use, allowing the user to direct the light to where required – ideal for use as a task light on a desk or as a reading light beside a sofa. Available in a black and brass finish, which exudes luxury and timelessness. The finish paired with the angular profile of the luminaires means that, despite the collection's long history, each piece still looks modern and fits into contemporary spaces both commercial and domestic.
