Warm Nordic Lightsome Wall Light

The Lightsome Wall Light was designed by Danish designer Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen. Since its conception in 1959, The Lightsome proved consistently popular. However, before Warm Nordic re-released the product it was only available for keen collectors willing to pay for vintage pieces when they appeared in auctions. The Lightsome Wall Light showcases many of Holm-Sørensen’s signature design quirks. The shade features grooves along the upper section which can often be seen in Holm-Sørensen’s designs. These grooves add a touch of detail to the piece as well as allow light to escape creating a delicate pattern of light in the shade. The brass stem is an ornate detail and appreciation of the metal, a subtle nod to Holm-Sørensen’s time as an ornamental metal worker.

This wall light cannot be hardwired into the wall but instead includes a cable and plug which needs to be plugged into a socket on the wall below. This is a classic feature of Scandinavian wall lamps which are rarely hardwired.
