Lolita Table Lamp by Moooi

A design based on female archetypes, the Lolita Table Lamp, was the first design by Nika Zupanc for Dutch company, Moooi. The lamp is Zupanc's way of defying stereotypes, in a male dominated world. She tends to target naive and frivolous objects and transforms those qualities into pure elegance. The Lolita is just that, while other designers focus in utility, technical or rational uses, Zupanc targets on the vanity and eclecticism in her deigns. It is very similar to Nabokov's homonym character, a game between stereotypes and tradition.

The Lolita lamp has the characteristic dome shaped shade, with a lace or polka dot at the edge, completing its genuine female nature. The Lamp is available in two hues of pink and a white finish option. The table lamp has an additional feature, where you can tilt the shade, up to 45°, and direct the light into different direction. Lolita lights are suitable for any modern interior, whether residential or commercial as well as in hospitality. Place the lamp on your nightstand, by your sofa, on your desk.
