Lolita Suspended by Moooi
The fame of Nika Zupanc, a Slovenian product and interior designer, was instantly boosted with the launch of her first design produced by Moooi: the Lolita lamp. Zupanc breaks stereotypes, especially in a male dominated industry, where ration, technicality and utility come first. Rather, Zupanc believes that aspiration for interior products should come from intuition, vanity and eclecticism. Lolita is the perfect example that represents Zupanc's principles; an exploration of the limits between material and emotional effect. Perhaps inspired by Nabokov's famous character, the Lolita might have a deceivingly simple shade, but the lace edge combined with the pink finish options attributes the light with a unique character of its own. The lace is also perceived as a polka dot design by most, a characteristic of the collection.
The lamp is available in two hues of pink, London Rose or Pink, and White and emit a direct downwards light. You can install a single pendant or create a cluster of your own, whether above a dining table, reception area. The Lolilta lights will bring elegance into any interior, with a hint of playfulness. The lamp and actually the first Lolita to be designed, was the
Lolita Table Lamp; with an adjustable shade that can tilt up to 45°.
