The first chair created using Artificial Intelligence. Kartell and designer Philippe Starck created an algorithm that would allow the computer to create a comfortable chair with structural strength to pass certification and achieve the quality standards of a designer furniture. The AI chair is made of 100% recycled thermoplastic technopolymer material, in an effort by Kartell to go eco-friendly as part of Kartell Loves the Planet, their sustainability initiative.
Starck commented on the AI armchair, "the chair was the answer of the computer when we asked it to create a chair, fully functional and comfortable but by using the least amount of material?". AI is the first chair to be designed by a computer, with no culture or memories, outside a designer's mind and unconventional thinking. A new world opens up in product design.
The AI chair is available in seven colours to choose from; white, black, green, orange, grey, titanium or bronze.
Please note that this item must be ordered in pairs of the same colour.
