Foscarini Tonda Suspension

Designed by Ferruccio Laviani, the Foscarini Tonda Suspension is a contemporary light, with a sculptural quality. Laviani was inspired by the radical design of the 1960s and 1970s and the Tonda is a reinterpretation of that era. The Foscarini Tonda fascinates its audience due to the illogical balancing act that the spherical diffuser plays, this diffuser perches atop the metal tubing but is not attached; resulting in a complex presence and a silhouette which changes shape depending on which angle you view it from. This suspension light aims to achieve harmony not only in its structure but also in its nature, expertly balancing both form and function.

The Foscarini Tonda boasts an opaline blown glass diffuser which is crafted by hand, this shade emits a diffused illumination which is perfect for living areas, dining rooms, staircases and even bedrooms. Tonda is also guaranteed to be an eye-catcher in commercial settings such as restaurants, hotel lobbies and galleries; it can be displayed individually or as part of a cluster.
