&Tradition Tripod

The Tripod collection was originally designed by Copenhagen-based duo Hvidt & Molgaard. Considered Old Masters of mid-century Danish design, they created the first sketches of The Tripod in 1953. In 2024, &Tradition produced their adaptation of the Tripod, keeping the classic style while adding a modern twist to increase functionality. The 2024 edition includes an additional swivel joint for easy articulation and a more precise directional light, perfect for task lighting in an office or study.

The Tripod Collection includes a table lamp, floor lamp, and wall light. Each piece features a shade formed from a single piece of spun aluminium, and a stem and base made from bent steel tubes. The wide shade ensures that as well as a functional and directional light, the shade offers a generous overall diffusion of light. The range is available in a choice of matte black or matte white. The muted tones of these finishes are offset by the brass rotational joint, which adds a touch of elegance to the design. The sleek profile of the Tripod makes it a versatile lighting collection, well suited to a range of commercial interiors, from hotel rooms to office spaces.
