Le Klint 224

The 224 Collection was originally designed by Erik Hansen in 1952. The collection includes the classic 224 Wall Light and the 224 Anniversary Model, which was released to celebrate the anniversary of its release. Now one of Le Klint’s most popular and well-known luminaires, it wasn’t originally designed for the lighting brand. Erik Hansen created the frame for himself and approached Le Klint for a shade to accompany it. Le Klint was so interested in his design that they tasked him with developing the idea further for them to produce. This resulted in the classic light that we know today.

Both the 224 and 224 Anniversary Model feature an adjustable, accordion-like frame which allows the user to move the light source to where it’s required. A textile rope weaves through the bracket, adding a luxurious detail. The hand-pleated shade is synonymous with Le Klint - a delicate element to an otherwise robust-looking design. Suiting classic and contemporary interiors alike, the 224 Wall Light can be installed in a study or beside a bed to add a warm and welcoming light that is perfect to read under.
