Herman Table Lamp by &Tradition

The Herman table lamp was designed by Signe Hytte and is named after the famous Danish writer Herman Bang. A pioneer of his time, Bang was at the forefront of the Modern Breakthrough movement and sought to shine a light on people that led quiet existences through his literary works. Often depicting lonely or isolated women, his works provided a beacon of light to certain members of society.

Wanting to pay homage to the writer and his output designer Signe Hytte says—"The Herman lamp is designed to create an intimate space where no one feels like an outsider, just like the works from the author that inspired its name."

The Herman table light is made using the best materials, featuring a stunning opal glass shade, an oiled walnut wood stem and a cream marble base. Creating a truly timeless piece, Hytte also evokes the time in which Herman Bang wrote, lending a piece of history to any interior.
