The designer, Constance Guisset, was playing with pigments vanishing in water, resulting in a design that resembles a painter's colour palette or the oxidation of a vintage mirror. The vivid colour effect is achieved by digital printing, with the effect sitting inside the surface of the mirror. The back of the mirror has a convex shape and is attached to the wall with singular piece of rope that sits in the middle of the frame. This means the mirror slightly tilts forward from the wall, being reminiscent of old Venetian mirrors.
