Northern Dahl Pendant

Birger Dahl designed the Northern Dahl Pendant in 1956. Two years after its conception, it was displayed in the renovated Norwegian Parliament building. Northern has now reintroduced this classic design, making it available once more to collectors of classic Nordic design. Despite its extensive history, the sleek profile and elegant lines of the Dahl Pendant help it fit seamlessly into contemporary interiors.

The Dahl Pendant is made from mouth-blown glass that’s etched to create a smooth matt finish. The features metal discs on the top and bottom, which are available in a dark grey or brass finish. The opening at the bottom of the shade provides direct downward lighting as well as an overall diffused glow, making this shade suited for use above dining tables, kitchen islands, or desks.
