Smoke Chandelier by Moooi

The only light within Maarten Baas' Smoke collection, the Smoke Chandelier is made through the unique process that Baas developed and Moooi loved. As part of his graduation project, from the Design Academy in the Netherlands, Baas has done an extensive research to find the perfect balance on beauty and perfection. It was nature that inspired him, and its constant change and movement; something that us humans cannot understand and wish to preserve items as they are meant to be. The wooden pieces go through an intricate process: first charcoaled and then coverd with clear epoxy resin. The resin is meant to fully preserve in time the beauty and uniqueness of the burnt wood.

The Smoke Chandelier takes three E14 ideally candle like bulbs, adding to its alluring and mystical appearance. The suspension will match any interior decor and add a decorative element to it. Hang the chandelier above a dinning table, in the living room or reception area. The lamp can be dimmed, when used in conjunction of a LED dimmable light source, so that you can adjust the brightness.
