Marset Funiculi Floor Lamp

The Marset Funiculi Floor lamp was designed by Lluís Porqueras and embodies the designer's style and ethos of simplicity and functionality. Porqueras says 'all I wanted to do was to pare away, to pare away and to pare away until I reached the pure essence of a simple, useful object!'. This became the Funiculi floor lamp, with its industrial design and simple finish. The name Funiculi is a reference to 'funicular' meaning the action to move up and down which is the way in which the light can be adjusted. The mechanism of moving the lamp up and down is constructed of two clips that allow for easy adjustment. This mechanism also allows the light to rotate 360 degrees around the stem of the lamp which increases the lamp's manoeuvrability.

Available in six finishes: green, mustard, terracotta, moss grey, off-white and black. The wet painted finish has a reflective surface that plays with light whether the lamp is on or off. The base of the Marset floor lamp has a rubber footing that creates a sturdy base for the tall lamp to sit. The rubber also protects the surface you choose to place the lamp on, for example on a hardwood floor the metal base would not affect its integrity.
