The Componibili Bio is made of a material derived from agricultural production waste. Kartell, in collaboration with Bio-on, has worked for years on creating a sustainable material to use for their products that protect the environment. Componibili Bio is completely recyclable and Greenguard-certified. The process to create this material starts from food waste, which is then attacked by microorganisms which will break it down into a biomass that resembles plastic. Then, through a series of processes, the material will be refined and turned into the highest quality. Kartell experimented with using this new material in injection and moulding for their products.

As with the rest of the Componibili collection, you can stack them on top of each other and create different sized storage units. The iconic design by Anna Castelli Ferrieri is a flexible and multi-functional storage unit to cover your every need and to be used in every room of the house.
