HAY Pao Glass Table Light

The HAY Pao Glass Table Light was designed by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa with the aim for using light to create a calming 'homely' atmosphere that makes people feel more comfortable in their surroundings. When on a trip in Mongolia, Fukasawa was inspired by the nomadic traditional Pao tents that illuminated at night. He sensed a feeling of friendliness and calm when in the ambient light of the tents and wished to recreate this feeling with the HAY Pao Glass Table Light.

To achieve this, Fukasawa uses individually mouth blown opal glass for the base and shade that creates a warm, glowing effect when illuminated and provides a uniform distribution of diffused light. The integrated LED also has an inline step dimmer which allows you to control the brightness with ease.
