Model 2065 Pendant Light by Astep

The Model 2065 pendant was designed by Gino Sarfatti, an iconic Italian designer who created more than 700 lighting objects in his career, changing the face of lighting design in the 20th century. After coming across some samples of methacrylate in 1949/50, Sarfatti sought to create a light made from the material as it was lighter and more resilient than glass. Opting for a beautiful elliptical silhouette, the shade is made from two diffusers joined together to create a flawless and seemingly weightless pendant light.

Relaunched in 2016 by Astep, the Model 2065 pendant lamp is now made from 100% recycled and recyclable PMMA, bringing Sarfatti's innovate design into the 21st century. The pendant light is available with a black/white shade or white shade, paired with either a black or white cable. The pendant lamp creates a soft diffusion which is perfect to create a warm atmosphere. The white version has an upward and downward glow whereas the black/white version has more of a downward illumination. Use in many settings for an elegant and classic look.
