Signe Hytte

Signe Hytte is a Danish designer, predominantly working in the product design and creative consultancy field. Hytte studied at TEKO Design and Business School, before going on to further her studies in Aesthetics and Culture at Aarhus University in Denmark. She is the former Head of Design at &Tradition and has founded her Copenhagen-based design studio - Signe Hytte Design.

Signe Hytte takes inspiration from iconic Scandinavian design and her work is described as beautifully simplistic, she seeks to strip away anything extra without eliminating the essential. Her designs combine her artistic outlook with commercial understanding, whilst often utilising the common theme of geometric shapes throughout. Hytte draws inspiration from culture and the arts to create contemporary designs for her studio, she believes finding beauty in the essence of objects is key.
