Panter & Tourron are a design duo based in Switzerland, consisting of Stefano Panterotto and Alexis Tourron. The pair met in 2015 whilst studying Advance Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship at ECAL, leading them to pursue a working relationship together. Their design studio projects simplicity and focuses on abstract and unique forms, their aim is to redefine luxury products whilst pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.
The work of Stefano Panterotto and Alexis Tourron combines both technology and design, so it is no surprise that in 2019 Panter & Tourron won the Dezeen Furniture of the Year award for the Tense collection they designed for New Works.
"We always try to capture the essence of a shape. We pay a lot of attention to creating designs that are pure and not poor, usually challenging proportions and the typical construction. When looking at an object we are always attracted by that small detail that could make its fabrication iconic or peculiar, focusing on specific finishes or not common materials for example." - Panter & Tourron
