Crafted from transparent glass, the Tom Dixon Press lights are reminiscent of ship buoys. These heavyweight lighting solutions are bold and durable, featuring a grooved and textured diffuser get their name from the process in which they are made. Each diffuser is manufactured by dropping molten glass at 1,200 degrees into iron moulds and pressing at a high pressure to create the icon-textured silhouettes. The light source is housed in the centre of the silhouette and is projected outwards into the room, producing glare-free ambient illumination.
The silhouette comes in various forms, a conical or spherical pendant, a rounded surface light or a cylindrical table lamp. Each emits a stunning glow and creates linear patterns which bounce across your wall or ceiling. The thick, industrially-pressed glass is designed to catch and refract the light and to last over time and is a beautiful addition to a range of settings - with some designs boasting an IP rating of above 44, making them suitable for use in bathrooms and wet rooms.
