Oluce Coupé

Joe Colombo designed the Coupé collection in 1967, which was initially developed as a variation of the Spider family that Colombo also designed, however, it was decided that Coupé was to be a collection of its own. The simple, innovative mechanism that connects the head to the stem makes it possible to direct the light beam in multiple directions just by moving the dome up, down and sideways.

A year later in 1968, the Coupé collection won the ”International Design Award” of the American Institute of Interior Designers and is now part of the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York and the ”Neue Sammlung” Museum in Munich.

The collection includes two different floor lamps and two different table lamps. Originally the lamps were only available in black and white: however, the most recent Oluce Mini Coupé Table Lamp is available in bronze, yellow, black and red.
