Normann Copenhagen Pix collection was curated by Simon Legald in 2022. The collection has a timeless silhouette and a captivating, speckled structure made from 100% recycled plastic waste. Pix is an aesthetic and resourceful design. Plastic waste in various shades of white is mixed and granulated, before being heated to a melting point of 120°, allowing the material to be reheated and reused at the end of its life without altering its properties. This process allows a circular life cycle and presents a design where each lampshade has its own, unique colour composition. The material thickness makes the Pix shade look opaque when the light is turned off and when the light is turned on, the appearance of the material transforms, obtaining a translucent look. The light source shines through highlighting the granulated structure to create a speckled effect.
The Pix collection is available in four different-sized pendants and four different-sized wall/ceiling lights which can all be used in both a commercial or residential environment. Each product from this collection offers a cosy, charismatic glow.
