Muuto Ambit

The Muuto Ambit collection features a wall, pendant, and pendant rail light all designed by a Stockholm-based design and architecture practice called TAF Studio. The lampshade is made from old brazier traditions: press spun by hand, polished, and finally hand-painted. These aluminium shades are available in an array of sizes and colours, from a small Ø16.5cm shade to a Ø55cm shade. The ambit collection is highly versatile and finds a home in any room or environment.

With this design, TAF Studio aims to 'make ordinary life less ordinary through subtle but effective changes in how products and architecture appear and function. A recurrent departure point in our projects is that everyday objects, by their obvious commonness, can be made uncommon'. This is clear within the overall design of the Ambit collection that characterises Muuto's Scandinavian values and allows the lighting solution to merge with varying personal styles.
