The Luceplan Lola collection is a contemporary classic, designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto in the 1980's. The theme of this collection was dematerialisation in the world of lighting, resulting in the stripped back and minimalistic style of these lights. Lola is easily recognisable with a light head made of glass fibre reinforced polyester, the head also hosts a micro perforated steel reflector that shields the light source. Each Lola light is a simple but versatile fixture, offering a choice of either direct or indirect lighting due to the flexibility of the lamps head.
With the Lola series, Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto have created a timeless light fixture with a beautifully simple shape using complex technologies - the result is one of the most popular Luceplan collections worldwide. Lola is the original carbon fibre lamp, with innovative qualities which earned it the famous Compasso d'Oro prize in 1989.
