Louis Poulsen PH 5

The PH 5 collection was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 in response to the constant changes to the shape and size of incandescent bulbs created by bulb manufacturers. The PH 5 Suspension is his most successful design to date.

The five separate shades ensure that the entire room is illuminated, the design disperses the light in different directions, the curved edges of the shades guarantee the lights brightness and functionality is not effected by design. The PH 5 emits a light as close to natural light as possible, Henningsen utilised a blue reflector and red cone to neutralise the yellow tint to the bulb - resulting in a warm and natural output. The PH 5 is a completely glare free suspension light, and adds a sculptural element to whichever room you decide to display it in.
