Louis Poulsen Keglen

The Keglen collection was designed by BIG Ideas, a design collective driven by architect Jakob Lange. Each design in the collection is known for its distinctive design and supreme lighting quality. The graphic shapes and clean design is carried through to all of the lights in the collection. Each lampshade has a curved diffuser built-in to ensure a pleasant, glare-free, downward directed light.

Jakob Lange, from BIG Ideas, describes the collection as 'The geometric and metallic shades have an organic diffuser that resembles a drop of water. In the table and floor versions, the insert meets the lamp stem and flows organically around it like liquid exhibiting surface tension'.

A unique feature of the Keglen collection is the gentle light emitted upwards through a discreet opening in the top of the shades which adds to the ambiance. The collection includes a variety of pendant lights, floor lamps, table lamps, and wall lights. All of which come in either a white finish or black finish. The wet painted shades create a reflective surface that plays with the light in the surroundings and therefore creates a striking feature when switched off as well as when they are on.
