Fritz Hansen Caravaggio

Designed by Cecilie Manz in 2005, the Caravaggio collection has become a Fritz Hansen bestseller. It is even referred to as their flagship product. Manz wanted to utilise simple shapes and smooth distinctive lines for these lighting solutions, creating a timeless silhouette that is perfect for a wide range of interiors. The curves passed through a number of shapes during the design process, but the final version captures a delicate and feminine form.

The Fritz Hansen Caravaggio presents a deep shade, which prevents glare and provides a soft overhead light for dining areas and workspaces. The light source is also granted an escape through the top of the shade, which results in an aspect of indirect lighting that illuminates the area above. Caravaggio is available in a range of sizes, as well as a choice between various neutral finishes. Manz has not compromised on quality for the sake of aesthetics, she has utilised carefully selected materials that work beautifully together for a final result that is both beautiful and functional.
