Flos Almendra

The Flos Almendra collection was designed by Patricia Urquiola for Flos and was released as part of their 2022 Spring Collection. These modular lighting systems were inspired by nature, specifically the almond tree that grew in front of Urquiola's home by the sea - which also where these luminaires got their name, 'Almendra' translates to 'Almond' in English.

Almendra is available in three models, each harbouring a natural colour palette, and the ability to adjust the petal diffusers. Each petal can be adjusted upon installation, and can face multiple different directions depending on where you want the light output to focus. A key aspect of the Almendra pendants is their sustainability, Urquiola designed each light with sustainability at the forefront of her mind. Each light is crafted from a polycarbonate which is derived from a by-product of paper production; and can be fully disassembled to be recycled at the end of it's life.
