The Astep Le Sfere collection was originally designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1959, but since then the collection has developed. The first design in the collection was the Le Sfere Single Wall Light, before Astep branched out to different models. Sarfatti found his inspiration from the sky, specifically from the moon and the the light that it emits, this resulted in a stripped back design which resembles a floating planet.
These simple but elegant designs consist of blown opaline glass diffusers that rest within an aluminium ring in either black or champagne. Upon first glance the diffusers appear as if they are floating; paired with the soft ambient lighting which protrudes through the shade, Le Sfere perfectly emulates moon light in your own home.
