Statistocrat Floor Lamp by Moooi
The Statistocrat lights were inspired by Joep Van Lieshout's, the designer, ongoing project 'Slave City'. A collection of artwork that is based on an imaginary dystopian, zero-carbon prison city. The linear, streamlined body stands at 2 metres high with its protruding beaming shades is the perfect light for any occassion. The highest shade has an upwards projection while the largest/widest shade is the perfect reading light. The lowest shade is actually not a shade, but rather functions as a side or coffee table and has the smallest shade lighting it up from right above.
The Statistocrat floor lamp bears Van Lieshout's signature raw weld finish, leaving an industrial feel to it. The design of the light is a representation of the structure needed in a city for it to both function and bloom, following a series of laws, rules and ethics. A truly multifunctional and decorative object, the Statistocrat floor lamp is available in 25 colour options. The wide variety in colour options means that you can select a Statistocrat that will surely match any decor.
The design is also available in a
suspended form, maintaining the same societal structure and available in the same RAL colour options.
