Yuchen Wu

Yuchen Wu lived amidst the astounding terrain of the Taiwanese mountains, which is where she first became fascinated with landscapes and organic forms which is now evident in her design work. She has had a lifelong love for art and design and pursued design studies with the goal of forming items that enhance people's lives. After finalising her studies, Yuchen Wu worked at a design studio in Taiwan, where she was exposed to a range of design projects from varying sectors. It was during this time that she discovered her calling in furniture and accessory design.

In pursuit of gaining international experience in the world of design, Yuchen decided to explore the industry abroad and eventually landed in Denmark. Yuchen Wu is now an in-house creator at Normann Copenhagen and has further expanded her perspective of a harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality. Her designs aim to be functional with poetical grace, solving users' problems whilst also adding beauty to their interiors and enhancing their everyday tasks. To achieve this, she begins her design process by weaving a story into her initial idea and then focusing on the technical aspects. Furthermore, Yuchen prioritises sustainability in her design process and seeks sustainable solutions to the challenges she encounters.
