Thomas Bernstrand

Born in 1965, Thomas Bernstrand is a Swedish designer. He trained at the Konstfack School of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (1994-1999), Danmarks Designskole (1996) and the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm (2005–2006). His work is driven by curiosity, resulting in innovative and unexpected creations.

Bernstrand has his own Stockholm-based design studio, Bernstrand & Co, where his product design aims to challenge users' perspectives and keeps functionality at the forefront of their creations.

Throughout his career, Bernstrand has already won numerous design awards; including the Spanish cDIM Design Award in 2004, the Ann Wall Design Prize in 2005, the Sköna Hem Furniture of the Year Award in 2005 and the Imm Interior Innovations Award (Germany) in 2005.
