Sinja Svarrer Damkjær is a Danish designer, she was born in 1982 and obtained a Masters Degree in Engineering from Aalborg University, specialising in Industrial design. During her final year before graduation, Damkjær created the Bouquet light; Le Klint took it on and began manufacturing the collection.
The inspiration for the Le Klint Bouquet came from flowers, hence the name, more specifically the flower handlers in an Italian market. The original Bouquet light consisted of seven shades and acted as a contemporary chandelier, but since then it has evolved and now offers varying sizes and applications. It is now a bestseller and was actually the first Le Klint lighting solution to utilise LED energy saving technology.
"To combine this somewhat nonchalant flower with the meticulous and tight geometry of Le Klint's pleating was a great challenge, but with challenges comes opportunity. To me, LE KLINT is quite unique with the strong focus on craftsmanship and the high attention to detail, and it has been fantastic to work on fusing these elements with an organic and soft expression." - Sinja Svarrer Damkjær
