Patricia Urquiola is an architect and designer with an unconventional style. She studied architecture in Milan where she followed Achille Castiglioni’s course, an influential designer whom she still looks up to. After her studies, Urquiola went on to open her own studio in 2001 where she worked on product designs, architecture, and installations with classmates from her years studying in Milan.

Eliana Gerotto is a Venetian designer who studied Communication Techniques in Milan and whose work spans numerous fields of design. She has worked as a graphic designer for the Parisian magazine, Elle, and for the Venice Biennale, as well as collaborated with various Italian brands where she has designed numerous interiors and products. Her activities in the design world still range from interior furnishings, to product design, and graphics.

I take challenges very positively as there is always something new to learn; new methods of production and regeneration, new materials, new assemblies, etc. As Timothy Morton proposes, I believe we have to rebuild a new ecological thinking, and to succeed we must go beyond environmental apocalyptic thinking." - Patricia Urquiola
