Nørgaard & Kechayas

Christian Noergaard was born in Denmark in 1981 and studied Industrial Design at the Danish School of Design in Copenhagen, where he graduated in 2008. Noergaard has lived and studied in Denmark, the UK and Canada.

Martin Kechayas was born in Copenhagen, where he studied Furniture Design at the Danish School of Design. The pair joined forces to establish their Copenhagen-based design studio Nørgaard-Kechayas in 2009.

The work of Nørgaard-Kechayas focuses on industrial furniture and lighting with a strong visual appeal and modern innovative solutions, the aim of their designs is to solve consumer problems and make everyday life easier. Nørgaard and Kechayas are noted as being two very different characters, complimenting each other perfectly and resulting in a successful professional relationship.

The design duo work with new and established brands, but their most noted collaborations have been with New Works.
