Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot-born, London-based designer celebrated for his innovative and timeless approach to lighting and product design. Trained as a civil engineer at Imperial College London and later completing a master’s in industrial design at the Royal College of Art, Anastassiades founded his studio in 1994. His work combines industrial production and artisan craftsmanship, resulting in designs that transcend functionality to become enduring works of art.
Inspired by the Modernist movement, nature, and personal memories of his native Cyprus, Anastassiades creates minimalist forms that provoke dialogue and interaction. His designs are held in prestigious permanent collections, including MoMA in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Collaborating with renowned manufacturers such as Flos, B&B Italia, and Herman Miller, his work continues to shape the landscape of contemporary design.
