Meike Harde

Meike Harde is a multidisciplinary German designer who, after winning numerous talent competitions and receiving multiple nominations and awards, opened her own design studio in Cologne in 2013. Before founding Studio Meike Harde she studied product design at university and worked as an intern under Benjamin Hubert in London.

Harde carries a vast knowledge of textiles and her work has a keen focus on materials and how they can improve a design. Her meticulous approach to the field has led to her working alongside a wide variety of rebound brands across the globe including Vibia, Northern and Woud. Her creations are visually light and constructively smart. Alongside her design work, Meike Harde has also taught at numerous academic venues across Germany, including the HBK Saar and the Universität des Saarlandes. In addition to lighting, Harde's work extends to furniture, textiles, and home accessories. Her designs have earned her recognition in the industry, including the German Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award.
